Jeera Rice With Methi | Methi Recipe 

One more Methi Rice recipe from my kitchen . This time Methi with jeera or cumin seeds . We Basically prefer simple jeera Rice recipe but what to be if you add little Methi with that . I think that will be more healthier . 

While many people live the bitter strong taste of Methi,  others find it nice aroma .  For me any preparation with aromatic Methi, give a feel good factors .

But there is a tip if you want to remove the bitterness also , sprinkle salt & a pinch of turmeric powder over the leaves and squeeze out the water before using them . 

Now about Kitchen Stories . As we know kitchen is the most important place for any house . So I always try to maintain my Kitchen neat & clean. There should be a positive energy always . First & foremost vasstu should be Cooking stove should have to be placed in the East Direction always . Means while cooking , East facing will be more healthier. 

Now come to recipe . Today's recipe I have done in Rice Cooker . For this measurement you should follow . For 2 cups ( full boiled) rice 4 cups water , you need . Soak it for 15 minutes . Then cook the rice .

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice .
  • 2 tbsp chopped Methi .
  • 1 cup chopped coriander leaves .
  • 2 Chopped green chilli 
  • 2 tbsp cumin seeds .
  • 2 tbsp white oil .
  • Salt to taste .

Preparation Method : 

  1. Let the rice cook in rice cooker with little salt .
  2. Heat oil in a tarka pan .
  3. Add cumin seeds , while started to crackle add dried Methi leaves and turn off the gas. 
  4. Mix tarka or seasoning with rice properly .
  5. Add chopped coriander leaves & green chilli .
  6. Add salt & mix well . 
  7. Cover & Set aside for 5 mins .
  8. Serve warm with any side dishes .
