Malabar Chicken Curry | Restaurant Style

Malabar Chicken curry.A famous Dish from South India. As per my knowledge Malabar coast is a beautiful place for holidays. As it is a district of Kerala I believe on these words that It is really a Lovely Place in India. In future I want to go there definitely to cherish its scenic beauty..Though I have a very little knowledge about Malabar foods.so it will be better If you suggest somethings about Malabar foods... As I live in chennai I tried few Malabar dishes in some restaurant. I  like Malabar Chicken Biriyani...a preparation of pure ghee with samba rice and  little spicy at all (I feel). Chettinad Pakoda Kuzhambu a typical south indian delicious and tasty curry with pakoda. This was the challenge for North Indian Team of Divya Pramil's SN Challenge . South North Challenge/SNC   of You Too Can Cook is now a well known community in this blogger world. By the rule every month a member from SNC will place a challenge to oppose team and oppose team will share their challenge. This month Priya from Priya's Versatile Recipe gave a challenge for Chettinad Pakoda Kuzhambu to North Team, and Chandrani from Cuisine Delight gave a challenge of famous Bengal Sweet name Chanar Jilipi for south based team.As I belong to North Team , somehow I could manage to fulfill the challenge for this month . Hello Dears as SNC has organised a Learning event for all of us, in other way its a challenge for North Vs South . So I am excited very much about this. So there is no reason to ignore it. So I have done it. Yes I have done it . "Mysore Pak " , One of my Favorite recipe from Karnataka . Today I tried and I succeed also. Thanks To Divya Pramil for Organising such a lovely Event. And Of course another Thanks goes to Divya Prakash  from whom I come to know that How to make Mysore Pak? She explained it nicely with images. Thanks to Both Of you. Lemon Rice

Today I want to share with you a very popular recipe of Rice preparation. In my blog collection there are very rare collection of rice menu.So,This week I just want to post a southern recipe, Lemon Rice.I am a great fan of this Rice.This is my version as I saw this preparation can be done in many ways.Whenever I want to change my taste,This rice is goes nice to make my taste in some differ.Hope you will Like it...So check this out... Ingredients : 1 and 1/2 cups Basmati Rice. 3 tbsp lemon juice 2tbsp oil 2tbsp bengal gram flour(besan) 1/4tsp asafoetida 2 dried chillies,broken in half 1tbsp split black gram 1tbsp split bengal gram 1/2tsp fenugreek seeds 1tsp mustard seeds 1 bay leaves Few curry leaves 1/4 tsp turmeric powder salt to taste Methods : Wash and soak rice in three cups of water for about half an hour.Drain. Fry Beasn dried. Boil rice with little salt and oil. After rice done spread the rice on a plate to cool. Put oil ...

Rawa Uttapam

Uttapam : Uttapam ... I Love This Dish...And my family too...Last Tuesday I tried at home...My in-law parants Loved this too much..and it is very easy to cook...a perfect breakfast which takes less time to prepare... and healthy too... Ingredients : 1. Semolina (suji) 2 cups 2. Curd 1 cup 3. Onion 1 middle size (chopped) 4. Green Chili 4-5 (chopped) 5. Tomato 2 (chopped) 6. Coriander leaves 1 cup (chopped) 7. Black Pepper Powder 3 tsp 8. Salt to taste 9. White Oil 2 tbsp Method : 1. Mix all the ingredients(without oil) with little water. *** It should be a thiken gravy. 2. Soak for 2 hours. 3. Heat little oil in a pan. 4. Spread 1 big spoon of mixture on the pan with thiken base(Like pizza base). 5. Low the flame. 6.Cover with a lid for 5-8 mins. 7. Uttapam is ready. 8.Serve hot with sambhar.
