Origin story about Raita is very little. Basically the word Raita is coming from the Sanskrit word Rajika. Rajika defines black mustard . Raita is a combination of yogurt sauce which is seasoned with cumin seeds , black mustard seeds , green chili and some other spices too. It is served in any Indian occasion along with main course. Its tasty and healthy too. It is believe that it can help to reduce digestion problem after eating any spicy foods. Raita can be made in different categories. But very common raita is cucumber onion raita. Raita is always served chilled. As per nutrition value this raita consists very healthy ingredients like yogurt , cucumber , onion. Yogurt is a good source of calcium, little iron and vitamin c, whereas cucumber contains vitamin C,vitamin A ,iron and calcium too....
