Eggless Semolina Cake | Eggless Rawa Cake

Friends, after a short brake I am back. Before two days I went to Kanyakumari once again. This time with my Parents. Trip was very nice. Covered all the the places at Kanyakumari. So on that days I could not post  anything. Its the time for a new post. So I decided to post one cake recipe. A vegetarian cake which I did not include before. Still it is little different because its a Semolina or Rawa cake. I got this recipe from one recipe book. Its really interesting! In taste its also little different than any other usual cake. An egg less cake which gives a different signature in your cake recipe. So if you have not tried before... Try now.Its great !So check out the exact recipe...

Ingredients :

1 cup Semolina / Rawa / Suji
1/2 cup plain maida
1/2 cup plain whole wheat flour
1 & 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup yogurt
Few saffron threads
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup milk.
1/2 cup oil or melted butter
1/2 tsp green cardamom powder
Few Cashew nuts and Raisins

Method :

Preheat oven in 200-220 degree.
Grease the baking tin with little oil or butter
Mix semolina, maida, atta, soda and baking powder together.
In another bowl combine yogurt, butter, sugar.Mix thoroughly.Beat well into mixture or Hand mixture.
Add semolina mixture, green cardamom powder, saffron  and milk to a thick consistency.
Beat again with electric beater or by hand for 2-3 mins.
Pour batter into the greased baking tin.
Sprinkle cashew and raisins on top.
Bake for 30 mins or until knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Serve when it gets cool.
Now A delicious semolina cake is ready.
