I tried so many recipe from this book and each of the recipe carries the tradition of Bengali Cuisine. Some authentic recipes from Bangladesh are also included in this book. Spiced Beetroot Paste Beet Bata | Thakur Barir Ranna | Bengali Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 Medium Beetroot
- 4 Green Chili
- 100 gm Posto
- 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Onion Seeds
- 4 tbsp Mustard oil/White oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp Ginger paste
- Peel off beetroot and boil with little salt.
- Soak poppy seeds,onion seeds,green chili in warm water..
- Make a paste of boiled beetroot.
- Make a fine paste of the soaked spice..
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add bay leaf,onion seeds and ginger paste when onion seeds start to splutter.
- Add beetroot paste and spice paste together.
- Adjust seasoning.
- Stir until it becomes dry.
- Serve with warm plain rice.
