Tarka | A Punjabi Dal

Tarka is one of my favourite dish.After a long term experiment I come to know the secret of Tarka Recipe.
A different flavour was coming from the Restaurant Made one. I was still searching.But at last I found it. Really after a long experimentation I came to know that original flavours are hiding in the Kasuri Methi, Roasted Cumin and Coriander powder actually. And it was clicked. Everyone said that something is different whenever You are making Tarka.And really its taste good. It will be more Flavoured if you want to make like charcoal technique. Once you try You will be addicted. This Tarka will go Very nice with Roti or Paratha both.

Ingredients 

Green moong daal 200 gm
Tomato 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger Grated 1tsp
green chili 3 (chopped)
Onion 1 medium size (chopped)
Coriander leaves (chopped)
Roasted Cumin powder(Jeera Powder) 2 tbsp

Roasted Coriander powder(Dhania Powder) 2 tbsp
Kasuri Methi roasted 
Turmeric powder 1/2 spoons
Dry Red chili 2
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Garam Masala Powder 1tsp
Lemon extract(2 tbsp)
Oil 3 tbsp

Bay Leaves 1

*** Soak moong daal into water overnight/full day

Method 

1.Heat pressure cooker onto a gas oven.
2.Heat oil very well ,add red chili, bay leaves and cumin seeds,when it starts to crackel.
3.Add ginger,green chili Pasteand onion and fry for some times.
4.Add Tomatoes,fry for sometimes .

5.Add Kasuri Methi (crushed)
5.Add Moong daal , 1 tbsp roastedcumin and coriander powder to it.
6.stir for sometimes.
7.Add some water,cover the cooker lid and cook in low flame for 10-15 mins.
8.When whistle is being come, put off the gas.leave the same.dont open the lid then.
9.When serve,some warm water(if necessary)add rest of the roasted cumin powder,coriander powder,aram Masal Powder,Coriander leaves,chopped onion,and lemon extract to it.

Serve with hot Roti and paratha.
