Hi Friends after a long time again here to post some delicious recipes from my Kitchen ! Hope you all are doing well !! Know it very well in this difficult situation , very tough to manage with everything as our lifestyle goes on changing daily , but nothing to do we should manage like that only and we should accept it and we should stay positive towards future orientation !! We shall overcome it ! It is like that , Have faith we can !! Anyway we should carry on our work progress as we do ! So here is my next post what I prepared it during lock down in the previous year, as I was busy with my other works , so could not manage to post, But somehow I feel now I should concentrate on my Passion sometimes !! So here again !

This time back with one of my favourite recipe from Rajasthan , Just one year Back I visited my dream place Rajasthan Thank God that time this Covid symptons was not there and We enjoyed our tour fully !!

Now sharing about recipes ! Lauki Kadhi a famous recipe from Rajasthan !! In Rajasthan they used to make many recipes with Besan or gram flour , And one of the the item also they use specially and that is yogurt or curds , Here also same kind of recipe ingredients we can follow , And if you ask me about preparation time as well about taste !! I can say its a must try recipe in Summer !! Less spicy and Healthy too, as yogurt is using here which keeps you cool in summer specially and may be you are concern about that yogurt contain good bacteria which improves our immune system !! And in this situation who does not take care about immune power !! So eat healthy and  stay safe !





Preparation Time : 20 minutes

Cooking Time : 20 minutes

Serve : 4 People

Ingredients :

For Pakoda :

Bottle Gourd / Lauki 1 medium size grated 

Ginger Paste 1/2 TSP

Coriander Powder  2 TSP

Red Chili Powder 1/2 TSP

Refined Oil for deep frying 

For Gravy :

Yogurt 1 & 1/2 Cup 

Gram Flour / Besan 2 TSP

Red Chili Powder 1/2 TSP

Coriander Powder 1 TSP

Green Chili Paste 1/2 TSP

For Seasoning :

Refined Oil 2 TSP

Ghee / Clarified Butter 1 TSP

Fenugreek Seeds / Methi Seeds 1/2 TSP

Cumin Seeds / Jeera Seeds 1 TSP

Mustard Seeds 1/2 TSP

Cinnamon 2 to 3 sticks

Asafoetida / Hing 1 Pinch 

Curry Leaves Few 

Green Chili Slits 3/4 

Salt to taste


Cooking Process :

  • Mix all Ingredients of Pakoda in a bowl .
  • Do not add water as bottle gourd is watery itself .
  • Add salt as require .
  • Heat oil in a frying Pan .
  • Fry Pakodas and keep aside .
  • Mix all ingredients of Gravy , Add little water in batter and Keep aside .
  • Now Heat oil and Ghee in a frying pan .
  • Add all seasoning ingredients one by one , when it starts to sprinkle .
  • Add gravy in it .
  • Simmer in low heat .
  • Add salt to taste .
  • After 3/4 minutes add Pakoda and simmer for 2 minutes more .
  • Make it cool.
  • Serve this delicious dish with Plain Rice .


Tip Of The Day : While making any yogurt gravy add 1 tsp of besan to avoid lumping .
