Dhaniya Paneer

"But two miles more, and then we rest!
Well, there is still an hour of day,
And long the brightness of the West
Will light us on our devious way;
Sit then, awhile, here in this wood--
So total is the solitude,
We safely may delay.

"The Wood" --- Charlotte Bronte

Today is 5th June, the World Environment Day.so this is my a little tribute to the Environment. Remembering this Today I want to share something green recipe with you too.Dhaniya Paneer , Green paneer whatever you say,I can go far away with dhaniya smell on the greeny way village...Lots of natural flavours with natural color with the pure nutrition values, we WELCOME you NATURE on the day of World Environment Day.Dhaniya paneer makes me crazy with its flavours as I love dhaniya very much. Most of my dishes I use Dhaniya patta/corianderleaves as added flavour. As paneer is my also a favourite dish to experiment,so this is also my first time experiment with dhaniya paneer.Check this out greeny curry...

Ingredients :

Paneer cubes 10-15
Coriander leaves 2 cups
Coriander seeds 2tbsp

Green chili 4-5
Green peas 1/2 cup
2tbsp curd
Butter 1tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
2 tbsp oil.

Method :

Soak coriander seeds in some water overnight.
Make paneer soft by soaking in hot water.
strain the excess water.
Make a paste of 1 and 1/2 cup coriander leaves , green chili with the curd in a mixture.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add coriander 1 tsp seeds, when it starts to splutter.
Add paneer and green peas, saute them little.
Add salt and sugar to it.
Add coriander powder to it.
Add paste to it.
Saute it again sometimes.
Add soaked coriander seeds water to it.
And bring it to boil.
when thickness is coming.
Add butter for more flavour.
Add coriander leaves for garnishing.
And serve hot with paratha or chapatthi.

As the curry is looking greeny in gravy by using all green vegetables,so it is send to Creative Saga for the event of SWC-COOKING WITH GREENS.

Awadhi Paneer Masala | Lucknow Paneer Masala

Whenever I am thinking for some special cuisine at my home, it has to be really a special dish for me. No any common dishes I would not prefer to follow absolutely. So Some state or region has its own culture for their cuisines. So we identify them only by their special and identical cooking preparation which are really well known by all of us.As for example For Mughlai khana we always know that Biriyani is the most favorable delicacy. Same to same Awadhi cuisine or Lucknow cuisine has their own specialty too. In maximum cases they are cooking in Dum Puckt style foods means cooking will be done in a big hundi with a lid including all the spices but in low flame. But think as Mughal culture and Lucknow culture are more or less same in their cooking style. Still it has to be some differentiation in some cases. Hope you got to know that why I had given so many lectures about the Awadhi Cooking. Because today I want share one Awadhi special recipe. It's a simple and easy cooking reci...
