Mutton Keema Masala

I love this recipe…This mutton keema masala recipe is from my mom..she cooked it so deliciously…….I just took the chance to have it in every week…In Kolkata there was a restaurant named “Gol barir bikhatto kosha mangsho”…I love this blacky blacky mutton masala,My mom tried it at home in one chance…….and

I remember I note the recipe at that same time from my mom………Now I love to cook this..and My Hubby says it looks to Rich in flavour… and he loves my Mom’s recipe…there is a trick to do blacky mutton keema masala……..and I want to share with you ….try it……whoever knows the trick,tell me…it is in the recipe also….comment me for which ingredient it takes black color…. In this recipe its not in black color..I had done it in this color for my in-law-parents's request...

But I promise you, I will defintely post the blacky mutton masala picture after some days later........But You have to say the trick to me..........in between this time...

Cheer  for this with salad ........ Serve with Chapathi, Roti or Paratha else with Plain rice  .......




Ingredients :

  • Mutton Keema 500
  • Tomato 3-4
  • Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder 2 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp
  • Black Pepper powder 2 tbsp
  • Clove 4-5 smashed
  • Cardamom 3-4(smashed)
  • Cinnamon 2-3(smashed)
  • Salt to taste
  • Curd 2 tbsp
  • Oil Mastard 6 to 7 tbsp
  • Onion 2 (paste)
  • Garlic 5-6 clove (paste)
  • Ginger 2 tsp
  • Lime juice 1 tbsp 
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves .
Method :
  • Wash mutton keema very well and keep aside to drain excess water.
  • Marinate mutton keema with ginger, garlic and curd for 2 hours.
  • Soak cumin powder and red chili powder in some water.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Fry onion paste to the pan.
  • When oil comes out .
  • Add soaked masala to it.
  • Keep aside .
  • Add marinated mutton keema into pan.
  • Add smashed cloves, cardamom,cinnamon and black pepper powder to it.
  • Cook until it turns into black color.
  • Add Masala-onion curry to it.
  • Pour all masala and mutton keema into a pressure cooker.
  • Add little warm water into it.
  • Cook until it is done.
  • Mutton Keema Masala is ready.
  • Before serving just add little lime juice and Coriander leaves .
