Ground Coriander Leaves | Dhone Pata Bata | A Bengali Starter

One more Bengali cuisine . It is really fantastic starter with warm rice. A flavor of coriander leaves give a nice   texture and welcome to your Bengali Cuisine. But some people in Bengal says  it like chutney or sauce, as because they add little lemon juice to it too. But I like it without lemon juice and I follow my mom and she is not adding lemon juice too. In my childhood whenever I asked to my mom about the menus. And she put this ground coriander leaves or dhone pata bata in the menu. We felt so excitement and said "today I will only eat rice with dhone pata bata and that's all." Nothing is required if you have this ground coriander leaves with rice. Just fabulous green stater and one more option you can use it as a sauce with any snack items if you add little lemon juice to it. So have it enjoy it with warm rice.I hope you will like it definitely... So check out one easy and simple recipe here...

My fav herb is also coriander. I practically use if for almost all my savory dishes. Its interesting to see how you used the leaves for such a thick and delish so called chutney. I would like a splash of lemon or lime juice inside, that tangy taste is of my liking.
Chutney looks tangy, love the colour of the chutney ...

Whenever I am thinking for some special cuisine at my home, it has to be really a special dish for me. No any common dishes I would not prefer to follow absolutely. So Some state or region has its own culture for their cuisines. So we identify them only by their special and identical cooking preparation which are really well known by all of us.As for example For Mughlai khana we always know that Biriyani is the most favorable delicacy. Same to same Awadhi cuisine or Lucknow cuisine has their own specialty too.
